With a history of 40 years, Sunny Village has witnessed the ups and downs of the many restaurants, and stayed afloat, even faced with economic downturn and tough competition. During this period, the restaurant received rave accolades, and was once recognized as the “best Chinese restaurant” by the Australian Culinary Federation (ACF) in 2001.

Without overly fancy décor, the restaurant resembles the many other charming establishments in the region. Owner Jerry Li approached it by creating the house into a contemporary and cozy establishment.
